# Automation analytics

> See how Automation is used across the instance: active flows, runs per day, failures, durations, the most used plugs, who builds and what AI costs.

The analytics page shows how much Automation is used and where it fails. System administrators see every workspace. Admins of a workspace see their own workspace under its **Analytics** tab.

## Open it

Open **Administration, Automation analytics**. The page covers all workspaces you administer. Choose the **Period**. The default is the last 30 days.

## What it shows

| Figure | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Active flows** | Flows that are switched on. |
| **Runs per day** | Successful and failed runs for each day, as a chart and as a table (**Show as table**). |
| **Average duration** | How long a run takes from start to finish. |
| **Most used plugs** | The ten plugs that steps use most. |
| **Who builds** | The ten people who saved or published the most, with their counts. |
| **Agent steps and AI tokens** | How often agents worked and how many tokens the AI steps used. |

The figures are collected every hour from the finished runs of the last hours, so they are up to an hour old. A run that ends late is still counted.

## As a dashboard gadget

The same figures are available as the **Automation analytics** gadget on a dashboard. People only see the workspaces they may see.

## Use it

| You see | Do this |

| Failures rise on one day | Open the **Runs** tab, filter by **Failed** and that day, and read the failed step. See [Debugging runs](https://collabase.ch/docs/automation/debugging-runs.md). |
| A plug is used by one flow only | Check whether it is worth keeping installed. See [Automation plugs](https://collabase.ch/docs/admin/automation-plugs.md). |
| AI tokens grow | Look at the agent steps of the workspace and consider a monthly budget. See [AI provider](https://collabase.ch/docs/automation/ai-provider.md). |
