# Create a flow

> Create an empty flow, one from a template or one from an imported definition in an automation workspace.

Creates a flow with a draft. The token owner needs the editor role in the workspace.

## Body

**workspaceId** `string` *required*

The workspace.

**source** `string` *required*

`EMPTY`, `TEMPLATE` or `IMPORT`.

**name** `string` *required*

The name of the flow.

**templateId** `string`

For `TEMPLATE`: the id of a bundled or instance template.

**flow** `object`

For `IMPORT`: the definition. A definition that cannot be read answers `422 INVALID_IMPORT` and creates nothing.

Answers `201` with the flow.
