# Delete a flow

> Delete a flow with its versions and runs; the call is recorded in the audit trail of the workspace.

Deletes the flow, all its versions and its runs. This cannot be undone.

> Scope `automation:write`. The token owner needs the editor role in the workspace of the flow.

A flow that does not exist, or that the token owner cannot see, answers `404`. A viewer gets `403`. A webhook that a plug trigger registered in another system is not removed when you delete a flow that is on, so switch the flow off first.
