# Replace dashboard shares

> Replace the whole list of who a dashboard is shared with; only its owner may.

> Scope `dashboards:write`. The owner only.

## Body parameters

**shares** `object[]` *required*

Up to 100 entries `{ "kind", "targetId", "level" }`. `kind` is `USER`, `GROUP`, `SPACE`, `PROJECT` or `ALL`; `level` is `VIEW` or `EDIT`. A guest may only be given `VIEW`; `EDIT` answers `422 GUEST_VIEW_ONLY`.

## Response

The new list. People and members of groups newly named get a notification.
