# Move agenda item

> Reorder an agenda item within its section or move it into another section of the same meeting.

Places the item after `afterItemId` in the target section. A move is a command: two people moving
different items at once both keep their move, because the position is computed from the neighbours
as they are at that moment.

  Scope `meetings:write`. Organizers, and participants when the meeting allows it. The meeting must not
  be closed or cancelled.

## Path parameters

## Request body

<ParamField body="sectionId" type="string | null" required>Target section, or `null` for the agenda without section.</ParamField>
<ParamField body="afterItemId" type="string | null" required>The item it follows, or `null` to place it first.</ParamField>
