# Update decision

> Reword a valid decision or change its decision makers, saved against the version you read.

Rewords a `VALID` decision. Send `baseUpdatedAt` and at least one other field. If someone changed the
decision since you read it, the request returns `409 CONFLICT` with the decision as it is now in
`current`; a decision that is no longer valid returns `409 CONFLICT` without it. Only while the
meeting runs (`409 MEETING_NOT_RUNNING`).

<ParamField body="description" type="string | null">Up to 5,000 characters.</ParamField>
<ParamField body="rationale" type="string | null">Up to 5,000 characters.</ParamField>
<ParamField body="personIds" type="string[]">Replaces the decision makers, up to 50. Each must be invited to the meeting.</ParamField>
