# Delete meeting

> Delete a draft or cancelled one-off meeting with everything in it; meetings that reached a calendar stay.

Deletes a draft or a cancelled one-off meeting with its agenda, outcomes and polls. A planned meeting
sits in the participants' calendars and a held one carries decisions, so both stay:
[cancel](/docs/api/meetings/lifecycle/cancel-meeting) a planned meeting instead. An occurrence of a series
cannot be deleted either; it would come back with the series.

  Scope `meetings:write`. Organizers, co-organizers, Space admins (for meetings that are not private)
  and system administrators. Recorded in the audit log.
