# Update meeting

> Change a meeting's title, time, place or settings; a planned meeting sends updated invitations afterwards.

Takes the same fields as [creating a meeting](/docs/api/meetings/create-meeting), all optional. Fields you
leave out keep their value. A planned meeting sends updated invitations after the change.

`date` and `time` always travel together and are read in the token owner's time zone. Moving a
meeting to another Space drops its project unless you send a `projectId` in the new Space.

  Scope `meetings:write`. Organizers and co-organizers only. Closed and cancelled meetings cannot be
  changed (`409 MEETING_NOT_WRITABLE`).

<ParamField body="bufferPercent" type="number">0 to 50.</ParamField>
<ParamField body="submissionsToAgenda" type="boolean">Submitted topics go straight onto the agenda.</ParamField>
<ParamField body="submissionLeadHours" type="number | null">1 to 336, or `null` for until the start.</ParamField>
