# Offer a work item type in a project

> Add a catalog work item type to the types a project offers.

>
> Scope `projects:write`. The person who issued the key needs the right to manage the project settings. A project that follows a template answers `409 PROJECT_LOCKED_BY_TEMPLATE`: detach it first.

## Body parameters

**taskTypeId** `string` *required*

The id of a work item type of the instance or of the project's space. No other field is accepted.

## Response

Status `201` with the new entry in the shape of [List project work item types](https://collabase.ch/docs/api/projects/list-task-types.md), added at the end of the list. A type the project already offers answers `200` and changes nothing. An unknown type answers `404`.
