# Audit events

> Every Automation event the audit trail records, from workspace and flow changes to approvals, connections, variables, Git and plugs, and who may read them.

Automation writes an entry to the audit trail for each change that matters. An entry names who did it, what it was about and when. It never contains a secret, a connection value, a variable value or the content of a flow.

## Where to read the trail

| Who | Where |

| Admins of a workspace | The **Audit** tab of the workspace, for that workspace only. |
| People with the audit right | **Administration, Audit log**, for the whole instance. |

Changes that a flow makes in Collabase, such as a new work item, are recorded as made by the service account of the workspace. Each entry also carries the flow and the run as its origin.

## Workspaces and members

| Event | Recorded when |
| - | - |
| **Automation workspace created, updated, deleted** | A workspace is created, changed or deleted. |
| **Automation workspace members changed** | Members or roles are replaced. |
| **Automation concurrency limit changed** | The number of runs at the same time is changed. |
| **Automation AI provider changed** | The workspace provider or its budget is set or removed. |

## Flows

| Event | Recorded when |

| **Automation flow created** | A flow is created, from scratch, a file or a template. |
| **Automation flow published** | A draft is published. |
| **Automation flow turned on, turned off** | The status of a flow changes. |
| **Automation flow deleted** | A flow is deleted. |
| **Automation flow version restored** | A version is copied into the draft. |
| **Automation flow imported, exported** | A flow file is imported or exported. |
| **Automation MCP release changed** | A flow is released for MCP clients or withdrawn. |
| **Automation chat link changed** | The chat link of a flow is created or replaced. |
| **Automation template saved, deleted** | An instance template is saved or deleted. |

## Approvals

| Event | Recorded when |

| **Flow approval requested, granted, rejected, request withdrawn** | The four-eyes steps of a sensitive workspace. |
| **Automation approval decided** | A person decides an approval step of a run. |
| **Automation approvers reassigned** | The approvers of a waiting approval are replaced. |

## Runs

| Event | Recorded when |

| **Automation run started manually** | Someone starts a run by hand, through the editor or the API. |
| **Automation run retried, cancelled** | A run is retried or cancelled. |

## Connections, variables and secrets

| Event | Recorded when |
| - | - |
| **Automation connection created, replaced, deleted** | A connection of a workspace changes. |
| **Automation connection releases changed** | An instance connection is released for a workspace or withdrawn. |
| **Automation OAuth app changed** | An administrator changes an OAuth app. |
| **Automation variable created, value replaced, deleted** | A variable changes. |
| **Automation variable value shown** | Someone selects **Show value**. |

## Git and releases

| Event | Recorded when |

| **Git repository connected, disconnected** | The Git connection of a workspace changes. |
| **Flows pushed to Git** | A push finishes. |
| **Release applied, rolled back** | A release or a rollback changes the flows. |

## Plugs

| Event | Recorded when |

| **Plug installed, upgraded, removed, uploaded** | An administrator changes the installed plugs. |
