Collabase can be extended and connected in several ways. This page lists them, says what you can use today and points to where each one is described.

What is available and what is coming

The App SDK, the Plug SDK, Collakit and AgentKit are open source under the MIT licence. Their repositories on GitHub are public, and the npm packages are published from Q4 2026. The built-in plugs and the automation engine are not open source.

MCP

Connect an AI agent to Collabase. Available now.

App SDK

Apps inside Collabase. Q4 2026.

Plug SDK

Plugs for Automation. Q4 2026.

Collakit

The design system. Q4 2026.

AgentKit

Coding agents build with Collabase rules. Q4 2026.

MCP

The MCP server connects AI agents to Collabase data. An agent signs in with OAuth and acts with the rights of the person who connected it. It has the same tools as Collabase AI, limited to the permissions granted at connection, and an administrator decides who may connect an agent. Guests cannot. You get the endpoint from your administrator. It ends in /api/mcp. Each automation workspace also has its own endpoint for flows. See Connect an AI agent, the MCP server of Automation and the page on the website.

App SDK

The App SDK is a TypeScript and React toolkit for apps that run inside Collabase, in the cloud and on your own server. An app can add a window in the app drawer with its own sidebar, a panel on work items, gadgets for dashboards, settings at the level of the instance, a space or a project, and its own triggers and actions for Automation. Its backend code runs in isolated environments with limits for time and memory, and an app never has more rights than the person using it. Administrators confirm the permissions and activate an app per space. It is announced for Q4 2026. See the page on the website.

Plug SDK

A plug adds triggers and actions to Automation for a system that the catalog does not cover. Plugs are written in TypeScript and run in an isolated sandbox with no route to your internal systems. They come with the Plug SDK in Q4 2026. The guide for building them is already in this documentation. See Plug SDK and the page on the website.

Collakit

Collakit is the design system of Collabase: colours, icons, typography, components and design tokens, with dark mode, themes, languages and accessibility built in. The core of Collabase uses the same tokens, so an app built with Collakit looks and behaves like Collabase. The repository is public, and the npm package @getcollabase/collakit follows in Q4 2026. See the page on the website.

AgentKit

AgentKit is a package of rules, skills and MCP access for coding agents. It contains a plugin for Claude Code, an AGENTS.md file for any agent that reads it and adapters for Codex, Cursor and ChatGPT, so that agents build apps and plugs by the same rules every time. It launches in Q4 2026 together with the App SDK. See the page on the website.
