You can connect an AI agent, such as Claude or Cursor, to Collabase. The agent can then look up projects, work items and pages for you, and make a few changes. It works as you: it sees what you see and can do what you can do, no more. Your administrator decides whether agents may register. If you cannot connect an agent, ask them to look at Apps and agents. Guests cannot connect agents.

What an agent can do

The agent has the same tools as Collabase AI. Each one needs the matching permission, which you grant when you connect it. Search needs the search index of Collabase AI; without it the answer says that search is not available. Reading recent activity needs the permissions for work items, pages and comments together. An agent that reads a page or a comment treats its text as data. It does not obey instructions written inside it.

Connect an agent

1

Get the address

Ask your administrator for the MCP endpoint of Collabase. It ends in /api/mcp.
2

Add it in your agent

Enter the address as a remote MCP server in the agent. The agent opens a Collabase sign-in in your browser.
3

Check what it asks for

The consent page names the application, shows the address it returns to and lists what it asks for. Select Allow only if you started the connection yourself.
You receive an email that an application was connected. If it was not you, withdraw the access straight away.

See and withdraw what you connected

Open your profile, then Security. Connected apps lists every application with what it may do, when you connected it and when it last acted. Select the bin icon and confirm to withdraw an application. It is refused from the next call, and it has to ask you again.
The history of a work item shows when an agent made a change: the entry names you and adds the agent, for example “via agent Claude”.
