POST
Sends folders and test cases from an external client. Every entry carries an externalId, your own identifier, so sending the same push twice changes nothing. Everything is saved together or not at all.
The token needs the tests:write scope. The person behind it needs the right to create and edit test cases in the project. Cases pushed this way are marked as imported and show the name of the application that sent them.

Path parameters

string
required
The ID of the test project.

Request body

array
Up to 200 folders. Each has an externalId, a name and optionally a parentExternalId (the externalId of a folder in this push or one pushed earlier). Parents can come in any order.
array
Up to 500 cases. Each has an externalId and a title, and can carry precondition, testData, priority, type, designTechnique, automationPotential, estimateMinutes, steps, a folderExternalId and a baseRevision.
string
The revision you received for this case the last time. Send it with every change to a case that already exists.
The whole body can be up to 10 MB. A push without folders and cases is refused.

How a case is compared

Each case has a revision, a fingerprint of its content and its folder. A change of the folder alone is also an update. In a project that requires approval, new and changed cases are saved as drafts and stay drafts until someone approves them. In other projects they are approved at once.

Response

Returns 200 with one item per case and one per folder.
Keep the revision of each case and send it as baseRevision with your next change.

Errors

A push never deletes a case or a folder that it does not mention. A folder can be renamed, but not moved to another parent.
