The Work Items tab shows the work items of a project as a table. Use it when you need to scan, sort or correct many items at once: a triage session, a review of due dates, or cleaning up assignees.

Columns

Click Columns to choose what the table shows. Search all fields of the project, add the ones you want, and move them up or down. Reset to default brings back every column. Your choice is saved to your account for this project and follows you to every device, so it does not change the table for others. More about the picker: Quick filters and columns.

Sort, page and group

  • Sort by clicking the header of Key, Title, Status, Assignee, Due Date or Start Date. Click again to reverse the order. Custom field columns cannot be sorted.
  • Page size is 50 rows by default. Choose 25, 50 or 100 per page at the bottom of the table. Your browser remembers the choice per project.
  • Groups follow the project’s work item groups. Collapse a group with its header. Work items without a group appear under Uncategorized.

Find work items

Type in Search work items… to narrow the table by title or key. The chips above the table work as on the Board and stay set when you switch between Work Items, Board and Timeline. The table loads only the work items that pass them. While a search or a chip is active, the table shows a flat list of matches, so a matching sub-item appears even when its parent does not match. If more than 5,000 work items match, the table lists the first ones and tells you to narrow the filter.
For queries across projects, saved queries, or conditions such as “overdue and unassigned”, use filters and the query language.

Sub-items

Sub-items start collapsed under their parent. Click the arrow at the start of a parent row (Expand subtasks) to show them, indented with tree lines.

Edit in the table

Click a cell to change it without opening the work item: After a status change, Collabase may offer to change related work items too: Update related work items too? Choose Update status or Not now. Click anywhere else in a row to open the work item. Add work item at the end of the table opens the create dialog.
