A project’s settings decide which views its members see, who can open it, and which workflows, work item types and fields it uses. Open them with the Settings tab, the last tab of every project. Right after you create a project, Collabase opens this tab for you. Who can do this: members whose Space role may edit project settings (by default the Space Admin). Others do not see the tab. The project role Manager alone does not open it.

Sections

If the project is linked to a project template, Project features, Status, Work Item Types and Fields are read-only. General shows Synced with template and a Detach button.

General

Click Save Changes after editing name and description, and the separate Save Changes under the project profile.
Delete Project removes the project with its work items, cycles and project settings. Booked time entries are kept but lose their project link. Workflows, permission schemes and instance work item types are not affected. This cannot be undone.

Project features

Switch views and features on and off. Each switch saves at once for all members. The order of tabs is fixed. There is no setting to reorder or rename them.

Members and private projects

Under Team → Members, choose the Access mode: A private project is invisible to everyone else: it does not appear in lists or search, and its links lead to a “not found” page. A Space Admin who is not the Space owner needs to be added like any other member. What members may do inside the project still follows the Space’s Permission Scheme. New projects always start as Inherited from Space. Make a project private before you add sensitive work items.
1

Make the project private

Select Private. You see Project set to private.
2

Add members

Click Add Member, search for a person and pick a role: Manager, Member or Viewer. Only members of the Space can be added.
To remove a person, click Remove on their row. They lose access at once.

Guests

Under Guests, invite external people who see this project and nothing else. Details: Guests.

Status, work item types and fields

Fields

Fields lists every field collection of the instance. Tick the collections the project needs and click Save Changes. You see Field collections saved. The fields appear on work items as described in How fields reach a work item.

Quick filters

Quick filters lists the named chips of the project. Add one with a Name and a Query, drag one by its handle to change the order, or remove one. A project holds at most 10. Projects created from a template start with the template’s quick filters. The chips are for the whole team: each person sees the ones their own access allows. See Quick filters and columns.
