What we saw in client projects.
The same pattern shows up across consulting mandates. Swiss organisations run collaboration tools whose operating models do not fit regulated environments, and extend them with a growing landscape of add-ons for everything the core does not bring. Test management, time tracking, automation, communication: every add-on with its own contract, its own data storage and its own operational risk.
The split is most visible in quality engineering. Test cases sit in the QA tool, requirements in the wiki, defects in the ticket system, approvals in a spreadsheet. Maturity models and frameworks help teams develop strategically, but they do not reach into the tools people actually work in. Collabase closes that gap by putting QE practice and collaboration on the same platform.
From a consultancy, not from a startup.
Collabase is developed by Infometis, a Swiss consultancy focused on collaboration and quality engineering. Behind the product are consultants who connect daily practice in client projects with product development. We know the requirements from three directions: what a finance lead asks, what a compliance officer checks and what a head of engineering needs.
That origin shapes the product in concrete places. Operability comes before feature count. Data sovereignty is a contract clause, not a marketing line. And a process is modelled the way it actually appears in client projects.
Zurich, Kreis 6.
Our office sits in a renovated old building in Kreis 6, with a second location in Basel. The data centres are in Geneva and Winterthur, and support works Swiss hours. Short distances, then, also when something is urgent.
