A flow has a draft and a published version. You change the draft in the editor. Runs use the published version, so editing never affects a flow that is running.

Build a flow

1

Choose the trigger

Open the Trigger tab of the start step and choose what starts the flow: an event in a Collabase app, a call to the flow’s webhook address, a schedule, or a chat message. A schedule runs from every minute to every week. See Triggers.
2

Add steps

Select Add step or press +, choose a plug and an action. Steps run in order. A loop repeats its steps for each item of a list.
3

Fill in the inputs

Each input is typed. Use the expression switch to take a value from an earlier step instead of typing it, or insert data with the data picker. See Passing data. Pickers list the spaces, projects, work items, pages, people and groups you may use. Step inputs describes every kind of input.
4

Choose a connection

A step of a plug that needs credentials asks for a connection. See Connections.
5

Test

Test a step with sample data, or the whole draft with a test run. The result shows what each step returned.
6

Publish and switch on

Select Publish, then switch the flow on. See Publishing flows.

The canvas

The flow is drawn from top to bottom. Use the controls at the lower left to zoom in and out and to fit the whole flow on the screen, and drag the canvas to move around. Right-click a step to Duplicate step or Delete step. Select a step to open its settings.

Step by language

Select Step by language, describe a step in a sentence and the assistant adds an action from the plugs that are installed. If no installed plug fits, it says so and adds nothing. This needs an AI model.

Versions and the lock

Every publish creates a version, and only one person edits a draft at a time. See Version history.

Move flows

You can export, import and start from templates, browse the template library and sync with Git.
