Your profile controls how others see you in Collabase and which notifications you receive. These settings only affect your own account. Open your profile by clicking your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar and selecting Profile or Settings.

Your details

On the Profile tab, set your full name, job title and avatar. Click Save changes when you are done. If your company manages accounts through a directory (LDAP, SAML or SCIM), your name and email may be locked in Collabase. Change them in the directory instead.

Language

Choose English, German, French or Italian on the Preferences tab. The interface reloads in the new language right away.

Notifications

In-app notifications appear under the bell icon in the top navigation bar. On the Notifications tab you can turn each type on or off: If email is set up on your instance, you can also get a Daily or Weekly email digest of unread notifications.

Change your password

Open the Security tab

Click your avatar, then Profile, then Security.

Enter your current password

Collabase checks it before accepting a new one.

Enter and confirm the new password

It has to meet the password requirements your administrator has set. If it does not, Collabase tells you which ones are missing.

Click Save

The new password applies right away.

Add a second sign-in step

With a second step, a stolen password is not enough to get into your account. After your password, Collabase asks for a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. This is available if you sign in with a password.

Open the Security tab

Click your avatar, then Profile, then Security.

Click Set up

In the Two-factor authentication card, click Set up and enter your current password.

Scan the QR code

Open your authenticator app, scan the code, then enter the six-digit code the app shows and click Confirm.

Save your backup codes

Collabase shows backup codes once. Copy them and keep them somewhere safe. Click I have saved them.
Each backup code signs you in once if you lose your phone. Use New backup codes in the same card to replace them; the old ones stop working. Click Turn off to remove the second step. When you sign in, enter the code from the app. Tick Trust this device for 30 days to skip the code on that browser; it asks again after 30 days without a sign-in from it. A code works once. After too many wrong codes, the account is locked for a while.

Sign in with a passkey

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, your face or your device PIN instead of a password. It replaces the password and the second step. You can add one for each device you use.

Open the Security tab

Click your avatar, then Profile, then Security.

Name the passkey

In the Passkeys card, type a name you will recognise, such as “Work laptop”.

Click Add passkey

Your browser asks you to confirm with your fingerprint, face or PIN. If you signed in more than a day ago, sign in again first.
Click the bin icon next to a passkey to remove it. Collabase does not let you remove the only way you can sign in. Set a password or link a company account first.
