Outcomes are at the centre of HERMES. An outcome is either a document, for example the study, or a state, for example system activated. Every outcome has a description, tasks that produce it and roles responsible for it. HERMES online provides a document template for every standard document.

Minimum required documents

HERMES defines minimum required documents. They are the guard rails of project governance and must be prepared. If a module does not apply to the project, its minimum required documents do not apply either. The core organization can adapt the list to its own governance rules. Examples of minimum required documents: The complete list, with the templates, is in the reference manual and on HERMES online.

In Collabase

Keep every document outcome as a page in Collabase Docs, created from a template.
1

Build a page per document type

Create a page with the chapter structure of the HERMES document template you use, for example the project management plan. Add placeholders such as {{project_name}} and {{project_manager}}.
2

Save it as a template

Open the ... menu of the page and click Save as Template. See Templates.
3

Create the document in the project

In the project’s Docs view or the Space, click + New Page, then From template.
4

Link the page to its outcome task

Paste the page link into the matching Outcome task, so the Roadmap shows the document inside its phase.
Use the version history of a page to show which state of a document a phase release was based on. See Pages.
The HERMES document templates are published by the Swiss Confederation, which holds the copyright. Download them from HERMES online and check their terms of use before you copy their content into your own templates.
